Guest Blog // Delightful Wedding Favors

Today’s guest blog post is from Crystal of Amazae Special Events. Crystal shares some of their favorite unique wedding favor ideas.

A wedding is only as good as it’s memory. Along with ensuring that your guests have a smashing time, it is also important to thank them for joining in on the celebration of your special day. Wedding favors have been around for centuries, dating back to the 1500’s, and while the content has certainly evolved, the message has remained the same; a gesture of gratitude. At Amazáe Special Events, we not only help our brides and grooms find a practical favor for their guests, but a favor that perfectly reflects the couples personality, the wedding’s design and of course, originality. Below are three of our favorite wedding favors:

Edible: Raspberry Jam
For Jennifer and Darwin’s “Market Place” style wedding there was no better treat for their guests than delicious homemade jam. Using an assortment of berries to decorate their wedding cake and dessert table was a perfect way to tie in the favor with the entire wedding’s look and feel.

DIY & Eco-Friendly: Potted Succulents
Potted succulents were the perfect favor for the organic-chic wedding held by Julie and Ken. The couple incorporated natural elements throughout the reception, such as a moss bed supporting their guest’s escort cards. The succulent stands as a symbol, as it grows and evolves so will Julie and Ken’s love.

High End: Personal Macaron Boxes
As delicate as the bride and as blush-pink as the wedding; Mirna and Robin chose personal boxes of macarons for each of their guests to take home. A blush-pink box, light-taupe lace, and an elegant tag, these simple yet elegant favors completely sum up Mirna and Robin’s wedding day.

Whether it be a project you do yourself, or a unique, ready-made idea you can purchase, every favor is bound to be appreciated. The possibilities are endless, and as wedding professionals, we encourage the tools and resources that wonderful site, such as Beau-coup, has to offer to brides and grooms!
