What we especially love about brunch weddings, is the opportunity to be playful and creative and of course, all the delicious treats that come along with brunch. Plus, when you wed in the morning, that leaves the rest of the day for chatting, dancing, and playing games with your loved ones! You also shouldn’t feel the need to get so dolled up — an airy dress, flat shoes, and a no-fuss hairstyle are really all you need to look amazing! What time should a brunch wedding start?
While this is just a suggestion, this schedule should be helpful when planning.
- 5 am-8:30 am — Get ready, primp.
- 8:45 – First look, bride and groom photos.
- 9:30 am – Ceremony.
- 10-11 am — Photos with immediate family and the bridal party / Drinks and appetizers for guests.
- 11:00-12:30 – Brunch.
- 12:30-3:30 – Reception (mingling, dancing, games, etc.)
What to serve at a brunch wedding

Just because it’s morning, doesn’t mean you can’t have alcohol. Mimosas and Bloody Marys are a must! Plus, there are so many delicious non-alcoholic beverages to sip on like, coffee, tea, milk, juice, cider, and hot chocolate. These are not only great drinks to sip on during brunch, but also a great alternative to “cocktail hour”. Beverages will keep guests satisfied until the food is served.

If you ask us, the best part of brunch is definitely all the delicious foods, so be sure serve up your favorites! Think pancakes, waffles, or omelets for “main courses” and donuts, french toast sticks, muffins, and scones for “appetizers”. You may also want to include fruit, cereal, quiche, bacon, sausage, or fried chicken. (For chicken and waffles, of course!) And don’t forget about extras like syrup, hot sauce, and whipped cream. Consider serving the food buffet style so that guests can fill their plate with all their favorites.
