Ask the party guests to wear their very favorite dress, skirt, or tutu and keep fun accessories such as gloves, hats, feather boas, and jewelry on hand so the girls can have fun getting extra dressed up.

Let the party guests bring their favorite stuffed animals too! They will love to bring their friend along for the fun, and will enjoy introducing the other party guests to their stuffed animal friend too. It’s also a great way to make any guest feel a little more secure if she doesn’t know many of the other girls.

The best party supplies

Disposable plates, napkins, utensils, and cups with a pretty print are perfect for a tea party. They’re not only cute and cost efficient but are easy to clean up too! Plus, you don’t have to worry about any fragile items accidently breaking.

Stands for treats such as cupcakes and cake pops are extra special ways to display goodies at a tea party.

Aside from teacups themselves, we love the idea of enjoying beverages out of milk jars with paper straws. They remind us of Alice in Wonderland, especially with the cute “Drink Me” labels.

Drinks & Treats

We can’t imagine most little girls enjoying hot tea – so we say opt for sweetened iced tea, lemonade, or juice. If you stick it in a teacup, then it will most definitely still feel like a tea party.

Colorful sugar cubes and rock candy sticks are adorable ways to let the party guests add sugar to their drinks.

Finger sandwiches, cookies, mini cakes, fruits, and rice krispies are yummy finger foods that the party guests will love to enjoy at their tea party.

Vintage mini chairs and a mini table make for a fun set up. We also love the idea of including a small vase of flowers and covering the table in lace.

Tulle also makes great tabletop decor and hanging decorations such as pinwheels, umbrellas, or paper lanterns make the party look extra special.

Last but not least, we really love the idea of vintage bird cages being included in the decor. Add the birthday girl’s favorite flowers or any other item you find fitting inside. These along with other vintage touches will make the party feel authentic and will look really pretty too.
