DIY Wedding Favor: Lavender Syrup in Personalized Bottles

We love the idea of gifting wedding guests with a favor that is not only practical but unique and tasty too. Inspired by our new Lovely Lavender spring wedding collection, we cooked up a wedding favor that looks really impressive, but is super simple — lavender infused simple syrup. We adapted this recipe from Perpetually Chic and paired it with our personalized swing-top bottle. This syrup is perfect for adding to cocktails, lemonade, and tea, and we just know that you and your wedding guests will enjoy this sweet treat.

Here’s what you’ll need (for 4 bottles):

First, rinse the lavender buds with water to remove any debris and then bring the sugar, water, and lavender to a boil in a small saucepan. Simmer for just a few minutes (until the sugar dissolves), remove from heat, and let steep for 30 minutes. The syrup will look off-white at this point. To give it a lavender tint, add a tiny bit of food coloring (Tip: touch the end of a toothpick to the food coloring and add it to the syrup, a little bit goes a long way, and you can always add more, but you can’t take away!). Lastly, strain the lavender buds out and transfer the syrup to glass bottles. Add your personalized labels and you’re all set! Syrup can be refrigerated for up to a month.

Didn’t these turn out beautifully? We would love to know your thoughts on this project, so please feel free to leave us a comment below!
