Pantone selects the annual winner based on movie influences, fashion runways, traveling exhibitions, new artists, technology, travel hot spots, sports and other socio-economic conditions (source: Chicago Tribune). It’s safe to say this color is carefully vetted and highly influential. Prepare to see this color permeate into your daily surroundings this upcoming year.

You’ll see this hue carry into fashion and beauty items mostly. Expect to find it in nail and lip colors, home furnishings and paint. It’s no surprise that the wedding trends will also follow suit.

If you love this bright color, then be on trend with a Radiant Orchid themed wedding. This color is complementary to olive and deeper hunter greens, which would work well for a fall wedding. For a spring/summer wedding, pair with turquoise, teal and light yellows. Radiant Orchid is extremely vibrant and will bring neutrals such as gray, beige and taupe to life. Perfect for a winter affair!

What do you think of this color? Are you going to give this a try at your own event?
